Winemaker, Tony Barkhouse, has been honing his skills and crafting Nova Scotia wines for more than twenty five years. His signature Kingsport, a fortified red wine inspired by the bountiful local fruit of his coastal hometown was awarded prestigous double gold medal in 2019.
A new winery, built on a legacy of trailblazing.

Founded in the mid 1980's by industry pioneers Doug and Suzanne Corkum, the vineyard, and later Sainte-Famille Wines, helmed by Suzanne, Nova Scotia's first female winemaker, has a long and storied past that reads as a love letter to wine. We can't wait to write its next chapter.
LOST BELL ESTATE WINERY IS BORN
OUR STORY
The name Lost Bell is inspired by the story of the lost church bell of Sainte-Famille Parish, rumoured to be filled with precious metals, and hidden in a pond at the vineyard by its former Acadian inhabitants. While it has not yet been recovered, similar bells have been unearthed in the atlantic region.
